The Phantom[17] (精灵) series are DJI’s consumer flagship quadcopters. They are currently the most popular product, and since launch, have evolved to integrated flight programming with a camera, Wi-Fi or Lightbridge connectivity, and the pilot’s mobile device.[18] Phantoms are made for aerial cinematography and photography applications,[19] but are also used in recreational use.[20]
There have now been 4 “generations” of the product line, each increasingly more capable.[21][22] The most recent is the Phantom 4 Advanced, announced on April 18, 2017.[23]
